Haven’t gotten any guessers on this month’s ware. Here’s a hint that should help a bit:
This is the manufacturer’s logo on the chip, found in the upper left hand corner in the main chip photo (found in a post below). You can use this information along with prominent visible features (such as memory banks and peripherals) to try and narrow down to which part this die shot corresponds.
If you need a zoom in of an area or need other specific hints, ask; I probably have them on hand.
I believe the part to be a FLASH-Based Microcontroller with an ASK/FSK Transmitter, more specifically of the rfPIC12F675F/K/H model. My guess was made somewhat easier since you provided the manufacturer of the part. Having an A/D converter, memory, and a charge pump on the same die led me to believe that the device was some sort of programmable transmitter. Checking the datasheet, the charge pump is used in conjunction with the VCO for correction purposes. The chip contains 3 different types of memory (FLASH, EEPROM, and SRAM) and 4 analog inputs multiplexed into an A/D converter. The die also matches the pin count.
