Here’s a little something that’s particularly useful during this time of airline holiday travel…SeatGuru lists many airlines and the amenities that specific seats have on particular aircraft. If you fly a lot, this is pretty handy, especially if you do bookings through websites like American Airlines where you can specify in exactly which seat you’d like to sit (which is the one with the power outlet for your laptop, of course!). This also de-risks the process of purchasing business class seats for international flights–you would think that for the amount of money you are paying, you’d at least get a good seat and a power outlet, but you’d be wrong. I’m surprised at how many airlines do not feature power outlets in business class for international travel. Well, now that I have this tool, I never have to roll the dice again and feel cheated running on battery power in a crummy seat that doesn’t recline very far.
