The above ware happened across my workbench last month when a friend who needed some parts replaced (the ones mounted on the huge heatsinks in the rear left) brought it over. I thought it looked pretty neat so I snapped a couple shots and here we are! I actually don’t remember the exact thing this came out of, so bonus points to anyone who can identify the make/model of the device of origin.
This was easy! Panasonic TV, model ct-g2166! ;)
The obvious first guess is that this PCB is from some kind of TV. It certainly looks like there is some sort of RF tuner in the upper right corner of the photograph as well which makes this guess even more obvious.
The STK392-110 which your friend wanted to replace seems to be a common candidate for replacement in TV:s as well.
As for the exact model I will leave that to someone else :)
Mh, maybe not that EXACT model… Well, the picture was screaming loud “I’m a television!!!”. It should be the board from one of these cheap CRT models from Panasonic, it’s even single face… How cheap! …and a bit old.
Google is your friend, especially if there are silkscreened identifiers on the board. Searching for TNP2AH010 (the part number in the lower-left corner) took me to several sites where you could order replacements, including one which provided a cross-reference of models which used it.
There are two models of projection television which make use of this board, both by Panasonic:
the PT51G43W and PT61G53
And yes, it’s the tuner / main system board for those models.
OK, I’ll go with a Toshiba 55H70 55″ rear projection TV.
I’ll add a vote to Barry’s answer and go with the video board for a Panasonic PT51G43W 51″ Projection TV.
Those STK parts are 3 channel convergence correction ICs for projectors.

I was searching for the replaced things (STK-392-110) being a convergence correction component for video projectors. This thing seems to only have a tuner so is a real video projector, not a beamer.
Unfortunately, the answer is allready given above. What about MD5-ing the full answer?
It looks like this is the main system board (tuner, RGB CRT drivers) for a Panasonic PT-51G43 51″ rear projection TV(http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Televisions/CRT-Projection-TVs/model.PT-51G43.H) or the Panasonic PT-61G53 61″ rear projection TV (http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Televisions/CRT-Projection-TVs/model.PT-61G53.S). I also looked up the STK392-110 and agree with IIVQ that they are convergence correction circuits (that drive the three CRTs — horizontal + vertical) for a projection TV.
Damn. Well, it’s obvious what it is, but I’ll try anyway. The tuner module screams out “television” as vcrs, cable boxes and the like all have a passthrough connector. The two large amp chips (stk392-110) are interesting. Googling them shows that they’re convergence chips.
The larger metal box above the tuner is a bit odd, as is the large heatsink at the lower left of the board. My money is on an audio amp, as it also has some beefy capacitors. As for the chip to the left of the tuner (an5165k), searching for that on google shows it’s a color NTSC signal processor. The chip marked an5819k (between the convergence chips and the audio chip) is a “Sound multiplex demodulator IC for TV”.
So from all this we can deduce that it can:
Tune into tv signals.
Process NTSC signals.
Process sound signals.
Amplify sound.
And do something with convergence.
So yeah, it’s most likely from a rear-projection tv, from north america.
Seems like the answer’s already been posted, but I thought it might be interesting to some that it’s immediately obvious that this is (probably) a Panasonic device. The stylized M in a box seen on many of the ICs is the Panasonic/Matsushita part stamp, and can be found on most/all of the electrolytic caps as well. Even the PCBs are stamped with the logo. With the proliferation of Panasonic produced components, it’s hard to suspect any other manufacturer.
Hmm… I think there should be a mention if we are looking at the whole device or just a part.
I was laughing to myself – look as these clowns claiming its a TV board when there is no EHT transformer to be seen anywhere, until the post where the part number was googled.
Speaking of googling, Bunnie, you need to pay more attention to googleable strings in these photographs !

Ya Its a rear projection piece of junk Panasonic. Repaired quite a few. The power supply section is on a different board. You may want to check the zener diodes and a few resisters that go when the convergence goes. Also they seen to be cheap knock off IC’s which will go in about a year or so. You want the Sanyo brand STK392-110. Those chips are the leading issue for issues with the large screen rear projection tvs and they are used in quite a few brands from Samsung to Mitsubishi and they will cause issues ranging from bad color warping to no power.
I have to say, I could not agree with you in 100%, but that’s just my IMHO, which indeed could be wrong.
